THOR RACE REPORT: NAGL SECURES THIRD IN 2016 MXGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP – MITCHEL HARRISON CLAIMS CAREER FIRST MX2 PODIUM.

Rounding out his participation in the 2016 Motocross World Championship with fourth overall at the GP of USA, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Max Nagl collected the points needed to secure third place in this year’s MXGP championship.

With the Motocross World Championship drawing to a close at the iconic Glen Helen Raceway, the German star delivered two hugely determined rides to wrap up his 2016 MXGP campaign on a high note.

The Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing Team had a tough weekend in Glen Helen. Jordi Tixier scored a disappointing thirteenth position after a couple of top ten performances, while Clement Desalle didn’t raced due to a knee injury.

Up and coming star, Mitchell Harrison, took his Yamalube Star Racing Yamaha to a well deserved overall podium in his second ever MX2 GP. The 18-year-old posted 2 consistent 5th place finishes for 3rd overall to flank fellow countryman, Jeremy Martin and 3 times world champ, Jeffrey Herlings.

The historic Maggiora circuit in Italy will host the Motocross of Nations in 2 weeks on the 25th September where THOR riders will represent their respective countries. Team USA (Alex Martin, Cooper Webb, Jason Andersen) Team Belgium (Clement Desalle) Team Germany (Max Nagl).
